Jenna L. McCarthy joined Malady & Wooten in May of 2016. Jenna represents several of the firm’s clients in the health and human services sectors including medical marijuana operators, human services providers, hospitals, nursing facilities and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Jenna has an understanding of the unique issues facing these complex systems and assists in navigating them to the benefit of her clients. In recent years, Jenna has assisted in securing COVID relief funding for clients, rate increases and significant policy changes to assist in the overall enrollment process for Pennsylvania care providers.
While Jenna’s client representation is focused on health and human services, her broad policy knowledge enables her to manage client goals across a wide variety of sectors. She works closely with clients in drafting legislation which has resulted in numerous pieces of legislation being signed into law on behalf of the firm’s clients. Through this work, Jenna was selected to represent Malady & Wooten in City & State’s Top 50 Pennsylvania Lobbying Firms publication for 2022 alongside Stacy Gromlich.
Prior to joining our firm, Jenna interned in the Office of the Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives under Speaker Mike Turzai. While interning in the House, Jenna assisted the Director of Special Events for the Speaker by conducting policy research for the Speaker and coordinating the logistics for guests on the floor of the House. She also assisted the House Republican Research Department with compiling bill analyses and conducting policy research for the House Urban Affairs Committee.
Jenna received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Lock Haven University and is a graduate of the Anne B. Anstine Excellence in Public Service Series Class of 2022. Jenna is a native of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania and resides in York County.
